Homestead Inspired Homeschooling

IMG_7143.jpg

WHAT IF we focused more on our child's overall happiness and less on test scores?

WHAT IF we gave them more time to develop in areas in which they're most interested?

WHAT IF we didn't have to "trick" them into learning because they actually innately want to learn?

WHAT IF we gave them sunshine and fresh air, autonomy in their education, real life skills, extra family time and one-on-one teaching?

WHAT IF we prepared them fully for adulthood while honoring their adventures in childhood?

WHAT IF we taught them in a way we wish we were taught?

WHAT IF our children could learn in another way?

What if you could give your child an extremely personalized education that was centered around the home and your family’s values/traditions, your child’s interests and passions, childhood adventures, nature and FUN? What if they could learn all the skills that they need to learn (and then some!) in a new way?

Maybe you are a homeschool family, maybe you’re curious or have homeschooling in your heart. I have exciting news! I have created a course just for you called BENEFITS OF HOMESCHOOLING with a Homestead Inspired Education. Want someone to talk you (or your spouse ) into it? I’ve got you!

We’ll go over topics like:

🍎individualized education

🍎socialization

🍎opportunities for entrepreneurship

🍎community service

🍎gaining irreplaceable time

🍎learning life skills

🍎flexibility

🍎adventures big & small

🍎character building

🍎creating the mood for your child’s education

This two-part course will be available for FREE viewing Sept. 30th if you're registered for the Homestead Summit (or afterward with an All Access Pass)! Along with Mandy from @homebuilteducation, Amber @gracewalkfarm and Jen @farmfreshfamily, I’ll be speaking all about homeschooling! I’ll be discussing the benefits, giving some examples of our homestead inspired homeschooling, and I’ve even included a bonus “Homestead Inspired Homeschool Ideas” full of ideas you can do with your kids!

What if...

Our Learning Style

Learning happens all around and we have found that each family (and each child) learns best with a personalized style of learning! Our family's learning style is a combination of different educational  philosophies- homestead and nature based, Charlotte Mason, Wild + Free, Unschooling and Montessori. Many of our lessons are interdisciplinary and are derived from our homestead seasons and family life.

We emphasize:

  • interest led learning

  • character development

  • FUN

  • whole child and individualized learning

  • creating an environment where children feel ownership over their learning and are inspired to create and learn about the world around them

  • daily life skills

  • nurturing our child's innate desire to learn

  • childhood adventures

  • family time and bonding

  • learning as a joy-filled lifelong OPPORTUNITY

We believe children learn best in an environment where learning isn't rushed, where curiosity and exploration are encouraged and where each child's education directly values his/her strengths and interests.

Learning is FUN! Let's help keep it that way for our kids.
